He has been the chairman of the AFBVC for 11 of the 14 years of its existence and a trustee from the inception of the charity.
He is now the National Chairman, responsible for the vision and ethos of the AFBVC, which is to relieve the needs of veterans, former members of the Armed Forces and their immediate dependents who are in charitable need.
Treasurer

Suzy 'Shots' Edwards
Shots is an ex AGC (SPS) – MAS(A), leaving in 2016 after 20 years’ service. Shots has been with the AFBVC since 2018 and the Treasurer since 2022.
A message from Shots - I believe in the amazing work everyone in this Charity does to help veterans and their dependants in charitable need. I ride a Harley Davidson Sportster trike which I love but do not get out to ride as much as I would like.
I continue to find the role of Treasurer for the AFB very rewarding, and I have seen over the last year the fundraising efforts of all our members go from strength to strength.

Bill 'Pilgrim' Aiken BSc (Hons)
Pilgrim has been a Member of the AFBVC since October 2014, first joining the newly-formed Wessex Region, and later becoming Regional Representative for that area.
In 2018 he became Vice Chairman of the Charity and joined the Board of Trustees, responsible for liaison with Regional Reps as well as contributing to the running of the Charity and its community.
His military background includes reserve and full-time service in Infantry and Intelligence units. In civilian life he worked for the MOD and then in consultancy including security and counter-terrorism projects.
Bill has also held volunteer positions in a disaster relief charity, as a hospital Public Governor, and in the Police.
He was elected to the role of Chairman in January 2025.
Secretary

Ian 'Coric' McCormick
Coric has been with the AFBVC since 2016 and currently is charity Secretary. He recently started his second retirement, his first was in the eighties and nineties when he sold his house, bought a six-berth yacht and sailed to and around the Mediterranean. His current retirement is much less stressful – he watches cricket, rides bikes and a trike and does charity admin. The secretary role includes helping potential members join and existing members to renew their annual subscription.
Vice Chairman

Paul 'Wolfie' Power
Wolfie has been with the AFBVC for some 13 years about 8 of those as area rep for the South West Area. Wolfie joined our Board of Trustees March 2023, in his words "I have just been given the opportunity to become the Vice Chairman and am really looking forward to working with you all and learning about how the charity works from the other side."

She has worked as a Business Manager for over 20 years and uses her extensive knowledge to support the charity.
